aaron_atiba bikeAtlanta City Councilmember Aaron Watson (left) invites Atlantans to pull out their bicycles and helmets and get on board to Living Smarter— a movement to make Atlanta a greener, healthier and smarter place for us to live. Councilmember Watson and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition Board President Atiba Mbiwan are leading a series of bicycle rides around the city with stops at outdoor urban farmers markets. The rides aim to highlight the importance of keeping active and eating healthy.

On April 9, Bikers pedalled through some of Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods to the Morningside Farmers’ Market, the oldest urban farmers market in Atlanta.

Additional rides are set for:

Saturday, April 30 - Peachtree Road Farmers Market

Sunday, May 15 - Youth Ride to Grant Park Farmers Market

Saturday, June 18 –Brown Middle School Community Garden

The rides are about 10 miles roundtrip and last about two hours.
